Bhokardan Taluka in Jalna district is historical place, situated on the bank of Kelna river. This city has been identified by the modern historians with the ancient city of Bhogvardhana, capital city of Satvahanas. Bhokardan is also famous for Tukai caves which is 2 km away northern side of the city. This historical region of Marathwada was under the rule of Nizam. So, this region particularly Bhokardan Taluka was educationally backward. Keeping in mind the importance of education in the modern democratic India as per the moto of institution ‘Shahane Karun Sodave Sakal Jan’, Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve established Moreshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Rajur (Ganpati) in 1988. In the beginning, the institution started secondary school at Rajur. Bhokardan Taluka took almost 50 years after independence by establishment of senior college in form of Moreshwar College at Bhokardan in 1996. Science faculty in 1999 and Commerce in 2004. Today Moreshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal runs following educational schools and colleges.
